An EAC certificate can be issued by a company that is accredited by local authorities. The certificate confirms that the product complies with the provisions of the relevant TR CU technical regulations for individual product areas. These regulations are somewhat similar to European directives, however, product classification and assessment procedures differ considerably. The certificate can be issued only to an entity that is registered in the territory of the Customs Union, a company that is not an entity of the Customs Union and applies for the certificate can appear on the certificate only as a manufacturer. This document can be issued for a single shipment or for continuous series production. Validity can be up to 5 years.
In most cases, it is necessary to perform a so-called FPC audit (production inspection in a manufacturing plant) and subject the product to tests in an accredited laboratory.
